dc.description.abstractEl “Sentido de Comunidad” (SC) apareció en el mundo académico en 1974, expresado por Sarason. Flores (20l4) plantea que el sentimiento de comunidad es el producto del encuentro de diversas variables, y que tiene la función de ser catalizador para favorecer la participación comunitaria y el cambio social. El tema ha despertado interés en el ámbito de la Psicología Comunitaria (Bottom et al., 2013); son numerosas las investigaciones que determinan la relación del sentido de comunidad con procesos como el apoyo social o la competencia social y escolar (Arce et al., 2011; Castro, 2014; Chipuer & Pretty, 1999; Schweitzer et al., 2002), o con el bienestar y la calidad de vida (Hombrados-Mendieta & López-Espigares, 2014; Marco et al., 2015).
